What a price to pay. This beautiful young woman was beheaded and her head thrown in the street as a warning to other Islamic women.

Phyllis Chesler; reports in 1997 Cairo, Egypt, 25 year old Nora Marzouk Ahmed had her head chopped off by her father who then carried it down the street. ‘Now’ he said ‘the family has regained its honour’. Nora’s crime, she had eloped.

Phyllis Chesler also reported that in 2002 an Iranian man cut off his 7 year old daughters head after suspecting she had been raped by her uncle. The motive behind the killing was to defend my honour, fame and dignity.

Some people called for the man's death under the Islamic law, but ironically, only the father of the victim can demand the death sentence.
