DO NOT BECOME A VICTIM
Culturally Aggravated Murders
- Parent uses the excuse for a holiday or visits a sick relative
- If your passport goes missing
- Are you being watched or timed where ever you go?
- Are you freighted of saying NO?
- Are you told stories of what happens if someone steps out of line?
- No letter is written to inform your School of your where about, or request for homework to prevent you from falling behind in your studies
- ALWAYS use a pay as you go mobile, these cannot be traced or tracked
- DO NOT allow emotional blackmail to pull at your heart strings as this could cost you your life
- ALWAYS leave a contact number, and where you will be staying with a teacher and friend. If you are away for a longer period of time then work out a regular way of contact with the above, and if this is ever broken your teacher or friend can raise the alarm on your behalf
- Schools should have a special register for areas at high risk for individuals who are being taken out of school to visit their parent’s homeland; this register should include the following
- Information; Childs name, Age, Parents village, Contact number, Length of stay, Return date. Someone should be assigned the task of checking on a regular basis if contact is valid on day of arrival then every couple of days, and speak to the child. This can therefore alert schools straight away if contact is valid or not, and if they cannot speak to the registered child then we have a CAM situation.
- This can also apply to airports, before an individual boards the plane an application form should be made available filled out and handed in at passport control. Where they are filed and checked by a regulated department authorised by the Government, and this should apply to the most venerable age group of 15-21 year olds.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
This is a gradual process which we do not recognise until it is too late
- Mental abuse comes first to break you, then control, then violence
- Over a period of time you are told that whatever you do is not good enough or that you are useless
- Puts you down in front of your friends or vice versa
- Behaves differently around you in front of family members
- Your personnel appearance is not up to his standards
- Dominates the home, finances, etc
- Tells you what you should wear, and not what you choose
- The first time you are hit they are so sorry it will not happen again
- Chooses your friends for you
- Second time you are hit it was your fault, and once again it will not happen again.
- You make excuses to family and friends about the bruises
- You fear them coming home, and making sure everything is to their standards
- Checks your mobile for messages
- Tell you that they love you even after they have beaten you black and blue
- You will not leave because they tell you they will change and that they love you
- Over the years you have become a victim, and are no longer in control of your own mind as that is now controlled by the perpetrator. Yourself esteem has gone, you are told you cannot live without them, you will not survive.
- They do not mean to do it. It is an illness
- You provoke them to hit you
